Archos is launching a new line of products aimed at education
French device maker Archos is launching a new line of products aimed at education. That includes 9 and 10 inch tablets with detachable keyboards as well as 11.6 inch and 14 inch notebooks.
The company says each product will have at least 8 hours of battery life to last through a school day and custom software and other features designed for use in school settings.
At the moment do not know the name of each product, but we can already provide the main technical characteristics and their prices. The range “Grand Digital for Schools” includes two tablet hybrid 2-in-1 9 and 10 inches, a Chromebook 11.6-inch and a 14-inch notebook made:
- 9-inch tablet with Intel Bay Trail, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, VGA / 2MP, Windows 8.1 Pro and keyboard dock to 200 € (excluding VAT);
- 10.1-inch tablet with Intel Bay Trail, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM, VGA / 2MP, Android and keyboard dock to 250 € (excluding VAT);
- Chromebook 11.6-inch Intel Bay Trail, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, VGA camera at 250 € (excluding VAT);
- 14-inch notebook with 4 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, VGA camera and Windows 8.1 Pro Education 300 € (excluding VAT).
All of the new Archos tablets and notebooks will feature Intel quad-core processors (likely based on Intel’s Bay Trail platform), and each will come with a 2-year warranty.
