Chuwi V10HD 3G is a 10 inch, Bay Trail Windows tablet for under $300
Chinese tablet maker Chuwi’s latest entry into the budget tablet space is a 10 inch tablet with a full HD display, an Intel Atom quad-core processor, and a price tag of under $300… at least in China.
The Chuwi V10HD 3G should sell for about 1699 yuan ($276 US) in China, although it might cost a bit more than that if you want to import the tablet to the US or Europe.
Still, the tablet has pretty impressive specs, given that relatively low price.
It features 2GB of RAM, 64GB of solid state storage, and a 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS display. As the name suggests, it also supports 3G data networks (in China), and features WiFi and Bluetooth. The tablet is also said to feature edge-to-edge glass on both the front and the back.
While most of the promotional materials I’ve seen for this tablet show it running Windows, at least one product slide suggests it may also be available with Google Android software.
If there’s one place where Chuwi is cutting corners, it’s in the processor. The tablet has an Intel Atom Z3735F CPU which isn’t quite as powerful as the Atom chips found in the Dell Venue 11 Pro, Asus Transformer Book T100, or Acer Aspire Switch 10 tablets, for instance.
