Hisense Vidaa Pad tablet is just 6.1mm thick
World’s thinnest tablet is a moving target. When Dell unveiled the Venue 8 7000 Series last month, it was pretty easy to claim that at just 6mm thick it was the thinnest tablet around… but then Apple unveiled the almost-as-thin 6.1mm iPad Air 2.
Now Chinese device maker Hisense wants in on the action. The company has just unveiled its own 6.1mm tablet.
The Hisense VIDAA PAD F5281 is an Android tablet with stereo speakers, a microUSB port, microSD card slot, front and rear cameras, and a headset jack. It’ll be available in a variety of colors including grey, brown, gold, and red.
I gathered all of those detailed from photos of the tablet at Chinese sites IT Home and Zol. Hisense hasn’t actually provided detailed specs for the tablet yet, so we don’t know anything about the display technology, processor, or other hardware.
