MINIX is one of the leading providers of Android TV boxes in the market today. The Neo X8 series is an upgrade to the company’s previously released Neo X7 device. What’s probably the best feature of the X8 and the X8s is that both support 4K UHD. This means that with consumers will be able to connect this Android TV box to their 4K TV to get amazing resolutions when watching movies.

The Neo series of devices comes pre-installed with Google services. This means that you will be able to install apps on it the same way as you do on smartphones and tablets. You will be able to stream videos from YouTube or update your status on Facebook.

What’s probably the main function of the Neo series is that it is used as an entertainment hub. Consumers just need to connect the device to a compatible TV and enjoy watching their favorite movies. It can also be used as a mini PC by simply attaching a keyboard and mouse to its USB ports. With the right applications installed a user will be able to create and edit office documents, check emails, and even surf the web.

The NEO X8 and X8s will become available on the later part of May with prices to be announced as its release date nears.
